Last month, our Mad Maven Media team flew to Boston for a work trip.
It was all work, with a tiny bit of play on our last night.
I was traveling with Brandon and Hannah. If you followed us on IG stories, you got the BTS scoop of our entire trip.
Think: people taking videos of us taking pics of food (but what’s new?), chasing after our reflectors in the rain, raw fish falling all over our clothes, running in the streets with chopsticks….
Typical.
Now back to Pabu.
Pabu is one of my FAV restaurants in SF. They serve some of the best sushi and izakaya I’ve ever had outside of Japan. So when we had the opportunity to work with Pabu in Boston… I was beyond ecstatic.
Our task was to shoot enough unique content for us to last a few months. No problem there because their menu is vast- and not to mention BEAUTIFUL! Check it out:
While the food was amazing (obviously), the BEST part of our trip was meeting some of the coolest & funniest people ever. Shoutout to the entire Pabu team for being so accommodating and not judging us (err… maybe a little judgement lol) for standing on chairs and being our hand models.
Meet Executive Chef Ben Steigers. He’s is one of the most talented chefs out there and runs the kitchen at Pabu.
Linchul Shin is Pabu’s GM and was nominated for Zagats 30 under 30.
They each have AMAZING energy- I love good energy. And we instantly became friends.
Together, they run Pabu and make quite the combo.
So if you guys are ever in Boston you HAVE to eat at Pabu: The music is right. The food is right. The vibe is right.

I’m going to Boston next month! What area/hotel did you stay at? Pabu is on my radar now!
We stayed at a new hotel called: The Godfrey. I’d highly recommend! It’s in a great area right in the middle of everything.
