The more I travel, the more I become very specific when searching for hotels. Besides having a great ambiance, raving reviews and being located in a great location… the hotel ALSO needs to have some really great food options.
Whether it be with room service or a restaurant within the hotel, I always look to stay at a place that serves great food on-site.
Plus… it just makes traveling and vacationing so much easier.
An early breakfast in bed… so ideal.
Unlimited buffet… umm YES!!
And for all those late nights cravings… room service has saved my life!
So if you’re visiting SF or want a staycation in the city, here are my fav hotels in San Francisco with some bomb ass food:

The W San Francisco: is one of my favorite hotels in SF. When friends come into town, I always recommend grabbing a room here. First off, you just can’t beat the location (located right across Moscone Center and Samovar Tea Lounge (<- my fav)). At night, the W becomes a very happening place to grab a drink at the bar. Plus, the vibes of the hotel are super chic and very modern.
Food rundown: Check out their restaurant called Trace. You can either go for dinner or for Sunday funday brunch with a live DJ and mimosas. Oh, and obviously their room service menu options are on point. They even have green juice and chia seed pudding for anyone who needs a quick detox in the morning.
Special “CynEats” deal: For anyone who wants to book a room here, they’re giving all my readers an exclusive discounted rate. Either call 1-888-627-8391 OR go on Instagram and DM @wsanfrancisco. Mention the code “Hashtag” and “CynEats”. Weekends will mostly be at lower rates and the room category is a “Fabulous Room” which start from the 20th floor up.
And just for being awesome readers, you guys will also get a complimentary bottle of bubbles or wine AND $25 off any $75+ bill at Trace.
Loews Regency
Loews Regency: If you’re looking for a hotel with great views, this one is definitely it. Loews Regency is one of those hotels where you truly get what you pay for. No joke, you will feel like you’re living in the clouds. The hotel is centrally located, only a few minutes away from Market street, union square, Embarcadero and Ferry Building.
Food rundown: Brasserie S&P, is their on-site restaurant that serves fresh California cuisine, along with fine wine and carefully crafted cocktails. I’m a huge fan of their head chef, Kevin Tanaka, who is extremely talented in the kitchen and serves up hearty dishes.
Palace Hotel
Palace Hotel: Oh man, the Palace Hotel is breathtakingly beautiful. Walking into the lobby and through the garden court is such a wonderful sight and experience. Think: elegance, greenery, stone, glass, and high chandeliers throughout the entire space. The service is first-class and the rooms are newly renovated. They also have an indoor pool that’s heated all year round (<– super legit).
Food rundown: This is a great place to enjoy afternoon tea on Saturdays with some live music. You get dainty bites with scones, mini sandwiches, desserts, macarons… SO good. Definitely come here for the afternoon tea experience.
Hotel Vitale
Hotel Vitale: is a boutique hotel located right along the Embarcadero. You get a completely different vibe here vs. being in the financial district. They have a private terrace with gorgeous views of the Bay Bridge and water.
Food rundown: Their restaurant, Americano, is a great place to go for happy hour from 3-6pm with great drinks and small bites. It’s always busy with a good-looking and diverse crowd of people. Another plus? The Ferry Building is right across the street (aka foodie heaven).
Tip: go to the Ferry Building and get a coffee from Blue Bottle, “secret breakfast” ice cream from Humphry Slocombe, and a clam chowder from Hog Island. Thank me later.
Intercontinental
Intercontinental: This is the hotel President Obama stays at whenever he comes to San Francisco. If it’s good enough for the President, then it has to be pretty legit, right? The Intercontinental hotel is steps from Moscone Center and a block away from the Westfield shopping center.
Food rundown: Hands down, the best room service I’ve ever had. Their restaurant downstairs Luce, has 1 Michelin star, and all the room service orders are prepped in the same kitchen (best chicken tenders ever!!).
