Over the holidays, I went to a few family and “friendsgiving” parties. During these parties, everyone was tasked with bringing their favorite dish.
While I didn’t make a green bean casserole or turkey… I did make a LEGIT dessert bar with cookies, cupcakes and brownies.
All in under 20 minutes.
I’d loveeeeeee to say that… “I BAKED ALL OF THIS” and then pat myself on the shoulder.
But who REALLY has the time to bake a cake, cupcakes and brownies from scratch. Especially during the holidays when you’ve got a million things going on.
SO unless you’re Martha Stewart or just a BOSS lady in the kitchen, then you’re like me.
Guys. It’s so F-ING easy, effortless and will take you less than 20 minutes!
Here’s what you do.
Go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Pick up some brownies, cookies and cupcakes. You know, the BASIC AF ones that don’t have any frosting or toppings on it.
Then grab fresh fruits, fudge, frosting, TOPPINGS, TOPPINGS AND MORE TOPPINGS.

For cupcakes: I added my own frosting, oreos, recess pieces, chocolate pretzels, blue berries and strawberries. (yah, I know… legit huh?).
For mini brownies: I added a layer of chocolate fudge on top, then manually added different toppings to each one. Think: mini marshmallows, chocolate sprinkles, strawberries. Anything is fair game.
For cookies: I stacked a huge pile and took a bottle of fudge to it. When everyone’s ready, heat them up in the oven and add ice cream!
Easyyyyy righttt??
SO next time you need to bring something “homemade” over to a family or holiday party: don’t stress.
Tell them you’ll take care of the desserts. Everyone’s going to think you’ve been slaving away ALL day to make these brownies and cupcakes fresh out the oven ;)
