Have you guys ever been to a burger competition? Sounds random as hell but also super FUN right?!
There’s a “Battle Of The Burgers” held at The Hall this Sunday (downtown civic center-ish area) and might I just say… the competitors they chose are three chefs who are ka-ka-KILLING it in the San Francisco restaurant game right now.
David Goody of Alta. Thomas McNaughton of Café du Nord. And Mark Sullivan of Spruce. Like WHATTT?? That’s so much talent in one room.
And did I mention that I’m a GUEST JUDGE!? I was so excited/flattered that they asked me to be a part of it, along with a few other awesome people like Amy Copperman (writer for Thrillist).
Here are all the Deets:
All three burger-chefs will battle it out against each other and YOU guys get to vote. The one with the most votes wins (duh).
But what’s even cooler is that proceeds from this event will go towards supporting The Cooking Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching kids and young adults fundamental cooking skills regardless of their background.
SO. If you love burgers, beers and music… come join me this Sunday for an awesome time that will also benefit young kids (our future) who love to cook! Hells yeah! I hope to see you guys all there.
What does my ticket get me?
You get a taste of three burger samples (a burger from each spot) and two beers!
Where and when:
Sunday 9/20, 4pm-6pm, at The Hall in downtown. 1028 Market St.

Such an organised wardrobe! Mine needs reorganising, desperately! We had the loudest, most rumbliest thunder in the early morning – it was awesome! I left the bedroom window open last night so it was nice and relaxing hearing the rain fall, although quite torrential!Have a fab time at the festival and I hope you get one good day of sunshine! I'm off to Glastonbury for a week on Monday! Yippee!! xxx
does sound awkward! but i am glad you went. With all the overtime i’ve been working, i haven’t made it down to the occupy minneapolis event yet but at least the extra $$ means i can probably afford to get some camping blankets etc to donate to the amazing folks who are camping.
