Some bad ass benefits to making Overnight Oats

So like. I’ve been super super obsessed with overnight oats.

And I feel kinda ridiculous for even writing this post because it’s soooooooo SO easy, where most of you will be like… “Is this girl for reals???”

I’m all about easy, healthy and delicious recipes that tastes like dessert.

Benefits of overnight oats

Side: I probably spent more time taking foodpics, than making it & eating it combined. lol.

Anyways, I eat it for breakfast. A snack. Lunch. Mid-day dessert. And in bed while catching up on Walking Dead & Once Upon a Time.

So if you haven’t tried overnight oats yet, you absolutely have to (you’ll thank me later). It’s a hearty and filling breakfast that isn’t too heavy and that requires almost no preparation at all.

Here are some benefits:

+ Oats are the #1 most recommended food that helps lower cholesterol & lowers blood sugar levels

+ Helps prevent breast cancer, coronary artery disease, colorectal cancer

+ Has a TON of fiber = helps you in the bathroom

+ Oats are also used for anxiety, excitation and stress (Web MD)

+ Helps to control appetite, by making you fuller for longer periods of time (eating less = less weight gain)

Pretty much, it does your body good.

Instructions:

You just soak equal parts oats and milk overnight, and in the morning, you have a cool bowl of plump oats waiting in the fridge.

Side: I like to use a mixture of almond milk and coconut milk.

Toppings:

You can totally get creative with it. I like to add strawberries, blueberries, nuts, coconut, almonds, granola, etc

If you put it in a mason jar, it’s perfect for a quick breakfast on-the-go.

Totally. You can use whatever liquid you want, as long as you like how it tastes!
