San Diego is my happy place.
It’s always beautiful, a constant 75 degrees, and super relaxing.
If you’re traveling to SD anytime soon, hopefully you’ll get some pretty cool ideas for places to eat and things to do. The awesome thing about San Diego is that everything is relatively close–> so all these activities & restaurants are 15-30min away from each other (at most).
And if you’re not traveling to SD soon…uhm. Why the heck not? Hopefully this will change your mind!
First off, I always plan to workout while on vacay- EVEN if my hotel doesn’t have a gym. If it doesn’t, I’ll opt to do activities that involve a little cardio.
Why? Obv because being bloated on vacay is soooo not fun. And plus, if you’re anything like me…you’ll be eating a TON of good food 24.7
Hiking in Torrey Pines: This place has some serious views! It’s not very intense, so if you’re looking for something scenic/beautiful/picturesque then bring your hiking shoes and camera phone here. You start by going uphill & you end up going down right along the beach.
Anything with water: San Diego is known for its good weather and amazing beaches. So it’s only standard to enjoy it. How? Surfing, kayaking, renting jetskis, boating, beaching, etc
I chose wakeboarding #everythingSORE
Cinema Under the Stars: Such a cute place for a chill date night or girls night. They play oldies but goodies. Ok please don’t judge me. But this was my first time finishing Wizard of OZ. And Yes, I’m moving out from under the rock. They have comfy reclining chairs (also ones big enough for couples) and they give you blankets and pillows! For more info, visit their website HERE.
Hanging out in La Jolla: There’s so much to do here! Good food, good views, good shopping! I obviously had to spend my day here catching up with these girls:
Cody’s La Jolla: This is THE perfect place in La Jolla for brunch. The food is amazing, the service is quick and attentive, and you just can’t beat these views! Oh, they also have superb drinks that are super tasty ; ) After our meal and a few blueberry spritzers, we walked down the street and ended up by the beach.
The Cottage: This is also located in La Jolla and comes in at a tie with Cody’s. I just can’t decide which one is my fav, since they’re both sooo darn good! OBV that’s why I had to go to both. But check out the stuffed french toast tho! YUM!
Sushi Ota: So you guys already know that I LOVE sushi. But I don’t really think you guys KNOW how much. FYI, Sushi Ota has the best sushi ever. Don’t believe me? Check out all the deets HERE.
Sang Dao: Hands down, best Thai/Laos restaurant in San Diego. If you’re in the mood for some seriously good Asian comfort food, this is the place to go. Read more about it HERE.
C-Level: Need a place to kill some time before your flight out? Come to C-Level, it’s seriously 2 minutes from the airport. You can either grab dinner or some drinks by the bar without feeling rushed. Plus, the views here are killer. You get the San Diego skyline and the Coronado bridge as your backdrop.
Okay, so there’s obviously so many more things to do and I wish I could have stayed longer than 5 days, but that was all I could fit in my visit. Until next time SD! It’s been real <3
