Egg Slut- The BEST damn breakfast sandwich ever (LA)

Posted by - December 5, 2014 - Los Angeles, Travel

Lets talk about the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.

Because EggSlut just tastes too good to be true.

Like, how can something soooo simple be so damn good?

Think: perfectly toasted & warm brioche buns, crispy ass bacon, and an egg that oozes out into all the right places.

It’s honestly the best breakfast sandwich ever. And no, you can’t make this at home. I tried.

So during my trip to LA, EggSlut was at the top of my foodie list.

And I was more than ready for some slut action.

Located inside the Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles, is where you’ll stand in line to order your sandwich.

The line moves fast, and if you’re lucky- you’ll find an empty seat at the 20 person counter.

I was a lucky one that day.

They have a short and concise menu, featuring breakfast & lunch items such as eggs (organic), sandwiches, and burgers.

Here’s what we had:

My 2nd favorite breakfast item here is the house-made turkey sausage, over medium egg, cheddar cheese and honey mustard aioli in a warm brioche bun.

Yes, it’s called The Slut. Try ordering it with a straight face.
It’s a coddled egg on top of a smooth potato purée, poached in a glass jar and served with a demi baguette.
($9.00)

Soft scrambled eggs, chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo in a brioche bun (you can also ask for it in a biscuit).

And this, my friends. Is the heaven-sent EggSlut cheeseburger.

Perfect in every way.

It’s made with ground american wagyu beef, caramelized onions, bread and butter pickles, melty cheddar cheese, and dijonnaise, topped with an over medium egg in a warm brioche bun.

And there you have it. If you guys are ever in the area (I’m jealous already), then you GOTTA stop by EggSlut for their breakfast sandwiches.

Do it for the food porn.

You’ll seriously thank me later (fingers crossed!)
