Ok, but seriously: Can someone open up one of these in SF??

The Packing House is a two-level food hall with modern, rustic and retro vibes throughout the entire space. Think: shabu shabu, poutine, chicken wings, tacos, garlic truffle fries…  You name it. They’ll probably have it.

Basically, this is a food lovers paradise and it’s all under one roof.

If you wanna do it right, come here with a group of friends. Because… why get full off one meal, when you can try a TON of different things? In my opinion, the more the better.

And if stuffing your face meal after meal isn’t your thing, I get it- I really do.

Which is why this place is so great. There’s also bars, secret bars, live music, outdoor patios, porch swings, etc. There’s so much to do here besides eat.

Like this “secret” speakeasy called The Blind Rabbit. The entrance is hidden and the exit is behind a bookshelf.

I mean…. how cool is that?!

Now here are some foodie spots to get you started:

HOLY CREPE! Who’d rather have a crepe bouquet instead of ????? ????

Besides the massive food hall, there’s also two breweries around the block. If you’re looking for a fun afternoon, you can even grab your food and bring it to these breweries.

PS: you can also bring your kids and pets here.

The first brewery is called Anaheim Brewery. You can get a flight of 4 beers for only $10 bucks (I mean…. in SF that’ll cost you an arm). This place is super intimate, with long German beer garden tables. These tables are very narrow- made to bring people closer to each other. On weekends, you might be able to catch them with a band playing live music.

The 2nd brewery is called Unsung. This is one of the most unique spots I’ve ever been to- with a more modern and sleek design than the first brewery. The décor is super hero themed, with neon lights, and tons of seating indoor and outdoor.

Definitely go check out a brewery for a drink or two after a full day of eating.

Can’t wait to try some of these places out. I’m taking my parents and daughter to LA, and will be stopping by OC for a day. Do you recommend any other restaurants we should try that are kid friendly?
