Confession: I “Faked” an Entire Dessert Bar in 20 Minutes

Posted by - January 12, 2017 - CynEats Foodie Guide

Ok. Let’s be real for a sec.

I’d loveeeeeee to say that… “I BAKED ALL OF THIS” and then pat myself on the shoulder. Would be kinda impressive AND looks professional, right?

But who REALLY has the time to make a cake, cupcakes, brownies, fudge, and some unicorn chocolate…

Because unless you’re Martha Stewart or just a BOSS lady in the kitchen, then you’re like me.

This post is for the girl who:

A. Doesn’t have time

B. Is clueless in the kitchen (aka ME)

C. Wants to impress/ surprise her friends or significant other

Guys. It’s so F-ING easy, effortless and will take you less than 20 minutes!

So here’s what I did.

I went to Whole Foods. Picked up some brownies, cookies and cupcakes. You know, the BASIC AF ones that don’t have any frosting or toppings on it.

Then I grabbed some fresh fruits, fudge, frosting, and tons of toppings.

For the cupcakes: I added my own frosting, oreos, recess pieces, chocolate pretzels, blue berries and strawberries. (yah, I know… legit huh?).

For the mini brownies: I added a layer of chocolate fudge on top, then manually added different toppings to each one. Think: mini marshmallows, chocolate sprinkles, strawberries. Anything is fair game.

For the cookies: I stacked a huge pile and took a bottle of fudge to it. It was epic.

SO next time you host a dinner party, or bring something “homemade” over to a family or holiday party: don’t stress.

Everyone’s going to think you’ve been slaving away ALL day to make these brownies and cupcakes fresh out the oven ;)

I freaking love this post. Seriously the best trick ever, and your desserts looks amazing!! I’d say even better than store bought ones that cost way more!
