Let’s talk about these French cream puffs, because they’re absolutely ridiculous.
But wait. This CHONUT tho… whoa, nelly. Now that’s beautiful.
So it’s a donut. But it’s made like a cream puff. And then it’s filled with raspberry curd and vanilla custard inside, topped with icing and strawberries on top.
Yah, I know. It’s perfection.
But anyways. this is a new bakery in town called Choux (pronouced “shoe”), that specializes in French cream puffs. Once you walk in, you’ll find a tiny little space (super cute) that resembles something you’d find straight out of Paris. Guys, the decor is on point.
The owner, Laura is from Nice- she fell in love with SF (who wouldn’t?), sold her company in France, packed her bags and here she is today pursing her dreams. (pretty ballzy huh?)
And I’m so glad she did, because these cream puffs are ON POINT. I honestly don’t think I’ve had anything better.
Choux has different flavors like rum custard, pistachio, hazelnut, salted caramel, lemon, and more.
Each one is different in style and design, and are all named after a friend who has inspired her at one point in life.
side: I wish there was one called Cyn #lifegoals
Here’s what it looks like on the inside:
Yah I know, this picture totally reminds you of nipples. No? okay maybe just me.
Moving on…
I sampled these way too fast. But guess what? Laura says these cream puffs are only 60-80 calories each. Basically, they have less calories than a cupcake, muffin or croissant. But I guess if you eat as many as I did, it’ll come out to the same amount of cals anyways lol.
Oh BTW, fellas! These make GREAT surprises & gifts.
You can purchase a unique boxed collection of six, twelve, or twenty-four French cream puffs.
Grab a box for your Gf or wifey, and you’ll for sure make her panties drop. Thank me later.
