Little Gem isn’t your typical restaurant. It is far from a three star Michelin restaurant, but their food doesn’t come far from it. This is the type of restaurant that the city of SF needs more of.
David Cruz and Eric Lilavois of Little Gem have one mission in mind – to deliver the best food possible to everyone who walks through the door.
Everything is so flavorful, tastes delicious and just so HAPPENS to be free of gluten, dairy and refined sugars.
I’m all about it.
Located in Hayes Valley, Little Gem is one the most laid back restaurants in San Francisco serving some of the best fried chicken, pancakes, bowls, and desserts. You won’t be overwhelmed by the menu, the service is always friendly, and the atmosphere is extremely chill with good music playing in the background.
What you’ll find at Little Gem are the best healthy pancakes ever (hold on, let me finish). Before you roll your eyes, yes, I said “healthy.” The pancakes are made from scratch and are TO DIE for (ok, I’m being a little dramatic). But seriously, I live for these.
And if pancakes aren’t your thing, then try their fried chicken. It’s the one of the best in San Francisco. No, it’s not “healthy”, but it’s probably healthier for you.
Perfectly crispy. Juicy. And has just the right amount of flavor.

I think I’ve tried all their salads, but I haven’t seen that last salad on their menu. Is that new??
Yes it’s new. It’s called the Garden Greens & Radish salad. A must try :)
